Summary: Donald Sutherland plays Don Tyler, a film director who has achieved international success and acclaim. His latest project is a film on the last emperor of China, which he wants to make as an epic. And so he makes the sojourn to Beijing to begin shooting. All goes well enough despite some misunderstandings and the usual mishaps that befall a movie shoot. That is, until Tyler suddenly gives up on the project after undergoing major doubts as to the virtue of the emperor of the Qing Dynasty.
