Synopsis: The film opens on a council estate just east of Paris, where a factory worker Katie (Alexandra Lamy) falls into an affair with a Spanish colleague, Paco (Sergi Lopez). Together they conceive a son whom they name Ricky. The infant is born with odd markings on his back that later develop into angelic wings, turning him into both a freak and a curiosity.
